Terms of Service

Service

Filekit provides web-based PDF tools. Uploaded files are processed temporarily and deleted after download completes or after a short retention window. This is not permanent cloud storage. Filekit aims to be reliable but does not guarantee 100% availability or compatibility for every document.

Main features (depending on plan and site settings):

• Compress — reduce PDF size.
• Merge — combine PDFs in the order you choose.
• Business docs — detect document types (invoice and related docs), merge in a fixed order, and group by invoice number on paid plans.
• Email draft — build an email draft from a business-docs result (including the PDF attachment) for your email app.
• Edit text — replace selectable PDF text (on supported paid plans).

Age

The service is intended for users aged 18 or older, or younger users with parent/guardian consent under applicable law. By registering, you confirm you meet that requirement.

Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your password and account access secure.
• One person or organization must not abuse multiple accounts to evade plan limits.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or abuse the system.
• To close an account, email admin@filekit.id from your account email; payment records may be retained for audit as described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

Filekit logos, brand, interface, and software remain owned by the service operator or its licensors. Documents you upload remain yours or the rightful owner’s. These terms do not transfer ownership of user files to Filekit.

Files and data

Uploaded files remain owned by you or the rightful owner. Filekit only gets a limited permission to process files for the feature you request (for example compress, merge, business docs, email draft, or edit text).

Files are processed temporarily and deleted under the retention policy in the Privacy Policy. Filekit does not use document contents for AI training, advertising, or other purposes outside providing the service, unless clearly stated with a lawful basis.

You are responsible for keeping originals and checking processing results before use.

Plans and limits

Available plans:

• Free — login required; tighter file size, page, and merge rules; may show ads.
• Pro — personal paid plan with higher resource limits.
• Team and Business — organization plans with seats; PDF limits follow the active paid plan.

“Unlimited” on paid plans means no daily action quota for supported tools. File size, page count, and merge file-count limits still apply. Prices, seats, and effective limits are determined by the server product catalog — not by browser UI values.

Fair use

Plans without a daily quota still require fair use. Excessive automation, disruptive bulk scripts, system abuse, or patterns that harm availability for others may be limited, suspended, or otherwise addressed under these terms.

Payment and activation

• Payment is by manual bank transfer to the account shown on the payment page.
• Paid plans activate after an admin verifies the transfer via the email approval link. Browser payment result pages are not the source of truth for activation.
• Plans are purchased for a set period (generally annual per catalog). Renewals follow pricing-page rules (including the renew window before expiry).
• Organization upgrades (for example Team to Business) follow the product flow.
• If payment succeeded but the plan is not active, contact admin@filekit.id from your account email with the order ID.

Refunds

Activated paid purchases are generally non-refundable solely because you changed your mind or chose the wrong plan, provided plan information and limits were clearly shown before purchase.

Refunds may be requested for duplicate charges, billing errors, or service failures attributable to Filekit.

Email admin@filekit.id with the order ID and relevant transaction details. Requests are reviewed under applicable law without limiting non-waivable consumer rights.

Price and plan changes

Filekit may adjust prices, features, and limits to sustain the service. Price changes do not apply retroactively to an already-purchased paid period, unless required by law or separately agreed.

Organizations (Team / Business)

• Organization owners are responsible for payment, member invites, and seat management.
• Members use organization plan limits while membership and the org subscription remain active.
• We are not responsible for internal disputes among organization members.

Plan and account ending

• Expired plan — access returns to Free limits (or another still-active organization membership) unless renewed.
• Inactive / expired organization — members lose that org’s plan benefits until renewed or replaced.
• Deleted account — login access ends; temporary files are not kept as a user archive; payment records may be retained for audit per the Privacy Policy.
• Suspension or closure by Filekit — may occur for term violations; non-waivable consumer rights remain respected.

Allowed use

You agree not to:

• upload illegal, harmful, or rights-infringing files;
• attempt to damage, overload, or access systems without authorization;
• evade plan limits, authentication, or service protections;
• use the service for spam, malware, or activity that violates Indonesian law.

Processing results

PDF tools process documents according to the provided features, without changing content beyond your request. Filekit does not guarantee a perfect match for every PDF (corrupt, encrypted, unsupported scan/image PDFs for certain features, or nonstandard formats may be rejected). You must verify results before further use.

For Business docs, document-type detection, invoice grouping, and email draft fields (invoice number, amount, recipient when readable) are best-effort. You must review the PDF and draft before sending to others.

Edit text only works on PDFs with selectable text. Scan or image-only PDFs may be rejected. Replacement fonts may not match the original exactly.

Limitation of liability

Filekit aims to provide a reliable, secure service but does not warrant that every feature is always available or compatible with every document.

To the extent permitted by law, Filekit is not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the service.

This limitation does not remove consumer rights, personal-data obligations, or other liability that cannot be excluded under Indonesian law.

Ads / promos

Visitors and Free users may see first-party Filekit promo banners on the home and tool pages when promo settings are on. Promos do not use PDF contents. Pro, Team, and Business plans do not show those promos. We do not use third-party ad networks. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date on this page will be updated. Material changes will be communicated where practical via account email and/or in-product notice, in addition to publishing this page, considering user rights under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes should first be resolved amicably; otherwise through competent forums in Indonesia.
